We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented B2B marketeer with an interest in history and the cultural sector. This role supports the National Archives vision of increasing profile and deepening engagement, nationally and globally, in person and online. You will develop and manage marketing campaigns focused on professional and B2B commercial products and services such as the Image Library and Digitisation Services. You will provide marketing and brand support to Licensing and Publishing projects, working with external partners to launch and promote new products and publications to consumers. You will support all departments across the organisation with strategic marketing needs—including events, conferences, social media, and digital engagement. This is a full‑time position, though requests for part‑time, flexible and job‑share arrangements will be considered. The role is based mostly on site with a minimum of 60% travelling to Kew.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in B2B marketing and/or launching new products or commercial initiatives.
- Hands‑on experience developing and managing successful multi‑channel marketing campaigns from start to finish (including multimedia, email and social media).
- Excellent written English, versatile copy editing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and team‑working skills, experience leading project teams, presenting and influencing.
- Excellent organisational and project‑management skills, ability to work flexibly and think creatively to solve problems, demonstrating sound judgement.
- Numerate, able to interpret data and statistics, proficient in Excel and database use.
Benefits
Salary of £35,759. The National Archives contributes £10,359 towards membership of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Additional benefits include pension, sports and social club facilities, onsite gym, discounted rates at the on‑site café, and opportunities for training and development.
