As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer working in our IT Operations team, you will have the opportunity to support The National Archives in meeting the needs of each of our major audiences and to contribute to exciting and interesting work that puts you at the heart of our IT transformation programme.
You will work as part of a team tasked with developing and supporting The National Archives\’ cloud services, systems infrastructure, telecommunications and network infrastructure. You will apply your broad technical skills across a range of infrastructure systems including but not limited to, cloud services, SharePoint and O365, desktop services, operating systems, LAN and WAN network, VoIP, storage, backup, Microsoft, licensing and Wi‑Fi, using your knowledge, industry standards and best practice to contribute to a high performing service‑culture orientated team.
We are looking for a self‑motivated person who will play a major role in the delivery of IT services, from legacy system improvements through to digital and IT transformation. You will work closely with the IT Operations delivery teams to design, create and improve new and existing products and services and you will work with business users, delivery teams and suppliers to identify and resolve issues and user needs.
You must have very good, broad experience and knowledge of working in a technology support environment using a variety of tools to support the management and delivery of production services. You should have experience across all IT service delivery activities including service management, incident management, change management, release management, configuration management, continual service improvement and customer satisfaction as well as playing a role in ensuring the highest levels of operational service delivery.
