Job Description
- Role and Responsibilities
- Sustainability Data Management
- Manage the end‑to‑end process of the sustainability database, including data collection from various cross‑departmental resources, validation, and submission.
Maintain the database, dashboards, and reporting tools, ensuring consistent, high‑quality data for internal reporting and external disclosure.
- Implement auditable data quality controls, including versioning, evidence tracking, documentation and audit trails.
- Produce clear, insightful visualisations and performance summaries using Excel, advanced Power BI and other analytical tools for analysing environmental datasets (energy, CO₂ emissions, waste, water and other indicators) to identify trends, risks and opportunities that inform organisational decision‑making.
- Internal Stakeholder Engagement and External Communication
- Work closely with teams across the organisation to gather information, validate assumptions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental sustainability data structure and management workflows.
- Support and host discussions within multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders, managing differing perspectives and facilitating collaborative decision‑making.
- Present and explain complex data and methodologies to non‑technical audiences, including senior leaders.
- Support operation and progress tracking of the organisational sustainability committee and prepare regular reporting material for internal governance bodies and committees.

Essential Criteria
- Qualification or equivalent experience in sustainability, environmental management or related fields.
- Familiarity with Power BI and environmental datasets such as energy, emissions, waste, water or supply‑chain data.
- Proven ability to work accurately with large and complex data sets, validating, formatting and transforming data into reporting platforms, databases and dashboards.
- Ability to demonstrate sustainability data and trends for non‑technical audiences and senior stakeholders, maintaining clear audit trails and documentation to support transparent reporting.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve issues arising during data collection, ETL workflows and sustainability reporting cycles, with a proactive, solution‑focused approach to improving data quality and reporting traceability.
