A warm and welcoming family based in Giffnock are seeking an experienced and deeply trustworthy nanny to support the care of their 6-month-old twins (a boy and a girl). This role will begin as shared care alongside mum, transitioning to sole charge when she returns to work in October.

The family are looking for someone who is warm, nurturing and kind-hearted — the sort of Mary Poppins nanny who blends seamlessly into family life, brings calm confidence to the home, and intuitively knows how to help.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and help maintain feeding and nap routines
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the twins
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and changing
  • Engage the children in age-appropriate, developmental play and activities
  • Encourage early literacy and communication through books and songs
  • Take the children on walks and to local playgroups, classes, and outings
  • Support developmental milestones and maintain a nurturing daily rhythm
  • Assist with bedtime and occasional babysitting (by agreement)

Household Duties (child-related Only)

  • Keep the children's bedrooms and play spaces clean, tidy and organised
  • Manage nursery laundry and wardrobe rotation
  • Maintain cleanliness in shared areas used with the children (kitchen, living spaces)

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional nanny experience; experience with babies essential; twins experience a bonus; background in early years or child development beneficial
  • Traits & Skills: Exceptionally trustworthy, dependable and discreet; warm, nurturing and kind, with a calm and confident presence; able to work independently and anticipate family needs; proactive, organised and efficient; excellent communication skills and confident collaborating with parents
