We are seeking a Professional, Qualified Part-Time Dog Groomer to join our Team at The Mutz Nutz Salon & Spa. This role involves providing professional grooming services to a variety of dog breeds. Our Candidate should be able to produce an excellent full groom to breed standard on at least 5 dogs per day. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work flexibly within a busy environment.

Duties:

  • Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs of different sizes and coat types
  • Trimming nails, cleaning ears, and performing other basic grooming procedures
  • Styling coats according to breed standards or customer preferences
  • Handling dogs with care and patience, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process
  • Maintaining a clean and organised grooming area
  • Providing exceptional customer service by discussing grooming needs and aftercare advice with pet owners

Qualifications:

  • Previous Salon Experience of at least one year is required.
  • Strong understanding of dog behaviour and handling techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large dogs.
  • Organised with attention to detail in grooming procedures and hygiene standards
  • Passionate about animal welfare and dedicated to providing high-quality care
