We are seeking a Professional, Qualified Part-Time Dog Groomer to join our Team at The Mutz Nutz Salon & Spa. This role involves providing professional grooming services to a variety of dog breeds. Our Candidate should be able to produce an excellent full groom to breed standard on at least 5 dogs per day. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work flexibly within a busy environment.
Duties:
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs of different sizes and coat types
- Trimming nails, cleaning ears, and performing other basic grooming procedures
- Styling coats according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Handling dogs with care and patience, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process
- Maintaining a clean and organised grooming area
- Providing exceptional customer service by discussing grooming needs and aftercare advice with pet owners
Qualifications:
- Previous Salon Experience of at least one year is required.
- Strong understanding of dog behaviour and handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large dogs.
- Organised with attention to detail in grooming procedures and hygiene standards
- Passionate about animal welfare and dedicated to providing high-quality care
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends if required
