Our client, a global music publisher’s Royalty division, is seeking a UK Royalty Analyst. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working across all outbound Royalty Distributions and assisting with the Royalty Close process for UK signed clients.
  • Serving as a point of contact for signed writers and resolving client queries in a timely manner.
  • Registering clients to the Client Portal and providing Portal demonstrations.
  • Maintaining contact details within the client portal.
  • Entering payee data into the in-house Copyright, Royalty, and Finance systems to include addresses, bank details, and tax status.
  • Using BI/Tableau and other reporting suites to produce reports and analysis as requested to support the UK Royalty Manager.
  • Analysing royalty statements and creating earnings analysis reports for internal and external client needs.
  • Undertaking catalogue audits and internal income suspense reviews in collaboration with UK Copyright and Tracking teams.
  • Reporting directly to the UK Royalty Manager and supporting with external client audits.
  • Supporting the UK Administration Department with project-based work and other ad hoc duties.
  • Collaborating with multiple departments to improve the overall administration processes.
  • Contributing ideas towards system enhancements and new processes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a Music Publisher or Label in an analytical or data driven role essential.
  • Experience maintaining copyright and royalty management systems.
  • Experience working on Royalty Audits (with both internal and external auditors).
  • Experience using financial systems and dealing directly with clients.
  • Experience using BI/Tableau is desirable.
  • Fluency in comparing, reconciling, and analysing high volumes of data.
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite, in particular Excel with experience of pivot tables, power query, and formulas are required.
  • Knowledge of royalty reporting formats such as CRD/CSV/DIF/TEXT.
  • Interest in the administration and operations of a music publisher.
  • Understanding of music publishing and the international collection society framework.
  • Willing to learn new processes and systems.
  • Confident handling external customer queries in a professional manner.
  • High attention to detail and numeracy skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
