Our client, an innovative retail company, is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer. This is an opportunity for a creative professional to work within a collaborative team, delivering designs that connect with audiences. This position is based on a 12-month temporary contract at £150-£162 / day pro rata with hybrid working available.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating compelling graphic elements, layouts, and illustrations for websites, in-store displays, social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms.
  • Developing and maintaining design templates and style guides to ensure consistency.
  • Optimizing designs for various platforms and devices for maximum visual impact and functionality.
  • Managing the end-to-end production process of design projects.
  • Delivering high quality visual assets to deadlines.
  • Positioning deliverables within project goals and brand guidelines.
  • Conserving the brand’s visual identity across all marketing campaigns and materials.
  • Building on brand recognition and recall with the inclusion of cohesive design elements.
  • Collaborating closely with marketers, agencies, and creative team members to integrate visual and textual elements effectively.
  • Participating actively in brainstorming sessions and contributing creative ideas for marketing campaigns.
  • Communicating design concepts and rationales to stakeholders.
  • Keeping up with current design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in retail and e-commerce.
  • Applying relevant industry insights to enhance the effectiveness and innovation of design work.
  • Providing regular updates on project status and proactively addressing potential issues.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrating a portfolio that showcases strong graphic and visual design skills and creativity.
  • Previous experience in graphic design.
  • Bringing proficiency in graphic design tools (Figma and Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
  • Showing familiarity with design for digital platforms, including social media, email, and web.
  • Applying a strong eye for detail and ensuring brand consistency across various channels.
  • Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicating and collaborating effectively within a team and with stakeholders.
  • Experience in retail or online-focused businesses is desirable.
  • Experience with video editing and motion graphics is advantageous.
