The job will involve creatively working with children and young people from a variety of backgrounds. Leading sessions and creatively engaging children and young people in musical/creative tasks to gain various desired outcomes.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Session development (the ability to generate new ideas and practices to develop young people)
- Provide engagement support (the ability to engage children and young people with music)
- Compile digital compositions using relevant DAWs
- Compile session evaluations
- Application knowledge (DAW)
- Music Knowledge (applications, Logic Pro X, Ableton, FL Studio)
- A basic level of music theory
- An understanding of current affairs (regarding the current condition of young people)
- An understanding of contemporary music
- Experience (working with young people, teaching applications, general teaching)
- Experience of working with disadvantaged children, NEET, Looked after children
- Report to the Practice Manager, providing written and verbal reports on service issues
- Compile relevant and accurate information to assist the Practice Manager to maintain and progress service provision
- Develop individual action plans for service users that will enable them to regain independence and re-enable them back into their communities
- Undertake reviews of service users' care plans, update information and take a lead in implementing changes to service users' service provision
- Feedback, monitor and update on the progress and needs of the service users
