We're looking for a creative, organised and passionate Social Media Executive to help bring one of Liverpool's most iconic luxury hotels to life across all our digital channels.

We opened the first 5* Hotel in Liverpool; The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery in May 2023 and have reset the clock within this historic building, bringing it back to life.

THIS ROLE IS PART TIME, 20 HOURS PER WEEK (FLEXIBILITY ON DAYS AND SHIFTS IS REQUIRED).
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK OVER SOME EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS ON AN AD HOC BASIS TO ENABLE CONTENT CAPTURE OF SPECIAL EVENTS.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOCIAL MEDIA EXECUTIVE AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY
What you'll be doing...
Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, you'll create engaging content, capture the atmosphere of the hotel and help showcase everything the Hotel has to offer including luxury stays and award-winning dining as well as weddings, spa experiences and exclusive events.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves photography, video creation and storytelling and wants to build their career in hospitality marketing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, create and schedule engaging social media content across Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Linked In and other relevant platforms.
- Capture high-quality photography and video content throughout the hotel
- Edit reels, videos and imagery using platforms such as Cap Cut and Canva
- Attend hotel events, launches and activations to create live and behind-the-scenes content.
- Support the delivery of monthly content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns and hotel needs.
- Write engaging captions that reflect the hotel's luxury brand and tone of voice.
- Monitor trends, audio, hashtags and platform updates to maximise reach and engagement.
- Respond to comments and messages where appropriate, maintaining excellent customer service.
- Work closely with hotel departments to identify upcoming content opportunities.
- WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Previous experience managing social media accounts professionally with 1 year of experience.
- Excellent photography and videography skills.
- Experience editing short-form video content for Reels and Tik Tok.
- Strong copywriting skills with excellent spelling and grammar.
- A creative eye for luxury branding and visual storytelling.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Confidence working independently and using initiative.
- A passion for hospitality, food, travel and lifestyle content.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite, Canva, Capcut, and social media scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite would be advantageous.
