A DAY IN THE LIFE OF RESERVATIONS COORDINATOR AT OUR HOTEL As part of the reservations team, you play an important role in creating a warm and positive first impression for every guest, even before they arrive at the hotel. By using emotional intelligence and a guest-focused approach, you help to naturally support both service excellence and revenue opportunities. You will assist with the day-to-day management of accommodation, spa, and food and beverage reservations, maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and brand standards, while helping to optimise occupancy and enhance the guest experience during each interaction. Working collaboratively with the sales, marketing, and front office teams, you will help ensure that promotional offers, group bookings, and VIP requests are coordinated smoothly to provide a seamless journey for our guests. You will also develop confidence and proficiency in using all reservation systems to ensure enquiries, bookings, amendments, cancellations, and special requests are handled efficiently and accurately. Engaging with guests over the phone, via email, and through other communication channels, you will deliver a friendly, professional, and helpful service at all times.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Proven experience in reservations or reception within the hospitality industry. Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach to handling bookings, guest queries, and VIP requests. Proficiency in reservations systems (ideally Accor / Opera or similar). Strong organisational and multitasking skills, able to balance high call volumes with guest requests. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business. A genuine enthusiasm for creating memorable guest experiences and ensuring smooth, efficient reservation processes.
