Hi, I’m Max and I live in De Paul House. Having a full flat to myself, which is one of the 9 flats, in the project gives me my own space and I have the option to come to communal areas if I want to, so it is a good balance.
As a young adult who has experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, including separation and loss this at times has caused me to display what others see as challenging behaviour. I would like to grow and gain independent living skills which include managing money, shopping and cooking skills, managing my health, building my training and employability skills and addressing any addictive behaviours.
To achieve this I would like someone to support me by helping me to access resources like mental, physical and sexual health services, create budget plans and weekly shopping lists, help me keep my flat tidy and laundry up to date, access addiction services, offer me weekly flat checks and monthly key sessions and support me to recognise my own potential and self worth through self-esteem building achievements.
Are you ready to make a real difference to me and people like me?
To ensure 24 hour support is provided to the people we support the role of project worker does include sleepovers, weekend working and shift work which includes a mixture of early and late shifts.
