About The Role

£12.60 PER HOUR
20 HOUR CONTRACT

Our organisation was established in the mid-70s with the goal of providing outstanding social care for individuals with diverse support needs. We are dedicated to placing the people we support at the forefront of everything we do and providing customised care that suits their specific needs. Riddrievale House provides short break respite for up to nine adults with learning disabilities in a comfortable, relaxing environment. When people come to stay with us, they are on holiday, and we try to make it as fun as possible.

Passenger Assistant Responsibilities

  • Safely drive the service minibus on various routes and at times determined by the service.
  • Pick up and drop off service users to and from their centres/home addresses or activities as required.
  • Support service users with personal needs such as mealtime support and mobility issues during outings and on occasion administering medication.
  • Ensure that the minibus is maintained regularly and that any services required for the minibus are carried out, also making sure the MOT is complete before each deadline.
  • Drive safely at all times complying with all current regulations, legal requirements and parking regulations.

You will have a full clean UK driving licence and be willing to work towards an SVQ level 2 qualification for the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.
