Hi, I’m K and I have been attending the South Glasgow Recovery Hub since September 2023. I self-referred to the hub for support for my ongoing addiction. My life has been difficult as I have been impacted with trauma, due to my addiction I have no positive relationships with family or friends. The hub has provided me with support and amazing opportunities to deal with my trauma and substance use by attending hub groups, as well as regular meetings with my keyworker.
When it comes to supporting me, it is imperative that I have someone I can build a relationship with to ensure there is trust, patience, and empathy. It’s important that my key worker has genuine values, understanding of addiction, with a friendly approach.
South Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Hub is located at Calton Place, Glasgow with excellent transport links. We are looking to recruit a committed and self-motivated Domestic Worker. You will be expected to provide a comprehensive housekeeping service to the service, maintaining a high standard and quality of physical environment. A working knowledge of C.O.S.H.H. regulations is essential and previous relevant experience is preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that equipment and materials are kept to the standard required of the current Health & Safety Legislation by means of cleaning schedules which should be recorded appropriately.
