Lunchtime Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a friendly, reliable Lunchtime Assistant to join our team at a welcoming independent pre-prep school in Hampstead. The successful candidate will help supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring a safe, happy, and positive environment both in the dining hall and playground.

Job description

• Supervise children in the dining hall, assisting them with meals and encouraging good table manners and healthy eating habits
• Monitor and support children in the playground, promoting positive play, inclusion, and good behaviour
• Help set up and clear away tables, chairs, and lunch equipment before and after meal times
• Provide basic first aid or report incidents promptly to teaching or support staff as needed
• Ensure that school policies on safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour are followed at all times
• Offer comfort and support to children, helping them to build confidence and develop social skills
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to maintain a calm, caring, and organised lunchtime routine
