This is a new role for the school, shaped by the needs of our community, and you’ll be supported by the established Therapies & Networks Team at The Mulberry Bush. You’ll work reflectively, compassionately and creatively, helping families feel heard, supported and better connected to the systems around them, always keeping children’s safety and wellbeing at the centre.

  • Represent family perspectives within the school to support empathy and understanding across the staff team
  • Navigate local support systems and help families access practical help, including housing, benefits, financial support and local services
  • Carry out home visits, phone and video contact to maintain strong relationships, including support during periods when a child is not attending school
  • Support referrals and assessments, including accompanying school leaders on home visits
  • Attend professional meetings and maintain regular communication with families, social workers and other professionals
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times, working collaboratively and thoughtfully with school leaders
  • Engage fully in supervision, reflective groups and professional development
  • Work flexibly and respond to changing family needs, including adjusting hours when necessary

  • Cash Health Plan
  • Employee Assistance Programme (24/7 support & counselling)

About you

You’ll be someone who is calm, thoughtful and able to work sensitively with families experiencing high levels of stress and complexity. You’ll bring strong judgement, emotional resilience and the ability to reflect on your own practice. You’ll feel confident working across cultures and communities, with a strong understanding of the diverse families who make up North London. You’ll be comfortable working independently while also valuing collaboration, supervision and shared learning. Above all, you’ll be committed to working in a non-judgemental, strengths-based way, keeping children’s needs and safeguarding at the heart of everything you do.

About The Corner School

The Corner School is a small, specialist day school for primary-aged children with SEMH needs. We work closely with families to create consistent, holistic support around each child. The Corner School is now part of The Mulberry Bush, a nationally recognised therapeutic charity supporting children who have experienced early trauma.
