MSS Water Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Water Technician to join the team based in the Bristol area, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated and complex environments.
As a Water Technician at MSS Water, you will play a key role in helping our clients remain compliant with water hygiene regulations. You’ll carry out a range of practical tasks including water sampling, temperature monitoring, and system disinfections – all while delivering excellent service and representing MSS professionally. This is a mobile role covering a variety of client sites, offering autonomy, variety, and the chance to be part of a supportive and knowledgeable team. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine water hygiene tasks including:
- Temperature monitoring of hot and cold water systems
- Water sampling and processing
- TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) servicing
- Showerhead and outlet cleaning
- Tank and system chlorinations
- Mains disinfections
- Conduct basic inspections of water systems
- Take and interpret dip slides where required
- Accurately record findings using our digital reporting tools
- Provide clear, helpful advice to clients on site
- Support new team members with on-the-job training when needed
- Work flexibly around site access requirements (e.g. after-school hours, holidays)
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- A full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Basic IT skills (email, Excel, digital forms)
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- A positive, professional approach with a willingness to learn
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in the water hygiene or water treatment industry
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant field
- Awareness of guidance and legislation such as ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01, BS EN 806, or the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations
