MSS Water Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Water Technician to join the team based in the Bristol area, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated and complex environments.

As a Water Technician at MSS Water, you will play a key role in helping our clients remain compliant with water hygiene regulations. You’ll carry out a range of practical tasks including water sampling, temperature monitoring, and system disinfections – all while delivering excellent service and representing MSS professionally. This is a mobile role covering a variety of client sites, offering autonomy, variety, and the chance to be part of a supportive and knowledgeable team. Full training will be provided, so if you’re reliable, enthusiastic, and ready to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine water hygiene tasks including:
    • Temperature monitoring of hot and cold water systems
    • Water sampling and processing
    • TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) servicing
    • Showerhead and outlet cleaning
    • Tank and system chlorinations
    • Mains disinfections
  • Conduct basic inspections of water systems
  • Take and interpret dip slides where required
  • Accurately record findings using our digital reporting tools
  • Provide clear, helpful advice to clients on site
  • Support new team members with on-the-job training when needed
  • Work flexibly around site access requirements (e.g. after-school hours, holidays)

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Basic IT skills (email, Excel, digital forms)
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • A positive, professional approach with a willingness to learn

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience in the water hygiene or water treatment industry
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Awareness of guidance and legislation such as ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01, BS EN 806, or the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations
