MSS Facilities Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Waste Operative/Cleaner to join the team based in Newport, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. The hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm.
The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated and complex environments.
RoleEnsuring waste systems are implemented effectively and legal requirements are upheld. Overseeing the transportation of waste entering and leaving site to ensure all paperwork is complete. Assisting the Site Manager with various tasks, including cleaning site and tram and train units.
Key Responsibilities- To load, unload, move and pack materials.
- Load and offload materials onto and off pallets.
- Ensure load is safe whilst transporting goods around site.
- Observe and comply with quality, environment, health, and safety procedures.
- Carry out routine and maintenance checks on the forklift.
- Report to Site Manager.
- Keep working area in a tidy state, removing all debris to rightful place.
- Recognise and report any faults, mechanical or electrical issues.
- Assess skip levels across the site to pre-book skip exchanges to keep a steady flow of available skips on site.
- Complete relevant paperwork to ensure compliance with skip movements leaving site.
- Use of computers to upload relevant paperwork and book exchanges with suppliers.

Salary £12.60 per hour for 37.5 hours a week. Smart Health/digital GP service. Permanent additional day’s annual leave for 5, 10 & 15 years – MSS.
