*MSS Consulting *part of the RSK Group are recruiting for a *Senior Asbestos Surveyor* to join the team to undertake commercial surveys in West and South Wales*.* We are looking for an experienced and ambitious *senior surveyor* who is comfortable undertaking complex surveys in large educational environments particularly.
The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated and complex environments.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Inspecting properties/buildings for asbestos (management, refurbishment and demolition surveys) * Bulk sampling
- Working on a broad range of property types and environments
- Participation in internal quality control schemes
- Liaising with tenants & clients
- Quality/ Technical check of survey reports prior to release to client
- Be prepared to learn the Project Manager role
- Management of survey projects from costing to delivery
- Provision of advice and guidance to clients
- Undertake other tasks as and when required by management
- To be impartial when carrying out all aspects of work and therefore should avoid involvement in any activities that would diminish confidence in MSS Consulting competence, impartiality, judgement, or operational integrity
*Qualifications and Experience:* *Essential:* * BOHS P402 Proficiency certificate in building surveys and bulk sampling for asbestos
- At least 2 years’ experience of undertaking surveys of domestic & commercial properties with a variety of ACMs
- Computer literate – Microsoft
- Literacy/ spelling and legible handwriting
- Driving licence
- *Desirable:* * Any other BOHS P modules
- Auto CAD user
- Degree in related discipline
- Health and safety qualifications or training certificates, e. g. risk assessment/ manual handling/ work at height
