Role Overview: Overall responsibility for daily operations to meet client and contract requirements efficiently, achieving commercial and financial targets while maintaining safety, technical and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations in line with contract requirements and budgets.
- Oversee office/site-based staff, ensuring health & safety, quality and environmental requirements are met.
- Allocate labour capacity against contract requirements.
- Maintain and develop client relationships.
- Determine expenditure trends and implement cost-saving measures.
- Communicate changes, encourage reporting of incidents and suggest improvements.
- Measure and improve operational performance against KPIs.
- Forecast commercial performance and report to senior management.
- Coordinate with Contract Management and Technical Manager to ensure competent site staffing.
- Assist in managing vehicle fleet inspections, maintenance and mileage reporting.
- Handle selection and performance reviews of sub-contractors.
- Identify opportunities to increase margin return from supply chain.
- Develop strategic direction and present to Managing Director with commercial lead.
- Implement strategic vision in collaboration with BRM (Env).
- Promote the business at trade events and industry functions.
- Attend Senior Management Team meetings and update SMT members.
