The MRJ team have engaged with a very exciting company at the forefront of the workforce technology industry as they embark on a new game-changing AI journey. This isn’t a greenfield “AI strategy” conversation. The foundations and vision are already in place. We’re now looking for someone who can take ownership of what comes next: extending capability, building tools, integrating systems, and exploring what AI can unlock across the wider platform.

We’re looking for the kind of AI Engineer whose ideas start with "I wonder if we could..." and usually end with a working prototype. Someone who enjoys building, experimenting and pushing beyond the obvious, turning AI from a feature into something genuinely useful. If your browser history is full of docs, repos, experiments and half-finished ideas you just had to test, you'll probably fit in well here.

What you'll be doing (a summary):

  • Identify, assess and shape new AI and automation opportunities, including running PoCs.
  • Design, build and deploy Machine Learning models, LLM solutions and generative AI components.
  • Implement MLOps best practices, including model pipelines, monitoring and automated evaluation.
  • Creating prompt-driven experiences that can interface with multiple platforms.
  • Help steer technical direction and influence what gets built next.

Person requirements (AI Engineer):

  • Experience and passion in AI/ML, LLMs and MLOps.
  • You are an expert at prompting and utilizing AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Anthropic models & OpenAI to accelerate your coding, debugging, and documentation.
  • An experimentation mindset; you will love turning ideas into working products.
  • Can operate in ambiguity and lead from the front.
  • Strong experience with Azure / Microsoft services.
  • Enjoys taking ownership and influencing direction.

If you want a role where you can genuinely help define what AI looks like inside a growing product business, we should talk asap!
