About Us: We're a proudly independent, family-run company with a growing portfolio of leisure, hospitality, and golf assets across the Midlands. With nine sites currently under management and ambitious plans for further expansion, we combine entrepreneurial drive with a close-knit, values-led culture. Our operations include hotels, golf clubs, and care homes — all united by a shared commitment to quality, community, and long-term growth.
The Role: We're seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Finance to lead our financial operations and support the next phase of our expansion. This is a key leadership position, based at our Wolverhampton head office, where you'll oversee all aspects of finance — from monthly reporting and budgeting to compliance and strategic planning. You'll manage a small, capable finance team and ensure that timely, accurate figures are produced across all business units. The role includes full responsibility for multi-site reporting, intercompany control, and the coordination of financial information across nine assets. Alongside your leadership duties, you'll remain hands-on with core financial tasks such as credit control, payroll, and statutory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, budgets, and financial reports.
- Lead the month-end process, consolidations, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Manage cash flow, credit control, and payroll functions.
- File statutory returns to HMRC and Companies House.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the board and senior management team.
- Support business planning and decision-making with data-driven recommendations.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small finance team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a multi-site business with intercompany balancing and control.
- Experience managing or supervising a small finance team.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with monthly consolidations and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Sage Line 50 or other Sage systems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience within the hospitality, leisure, or sports industry is an advantage.
