Tasks
- Assess clients with complex neurological and communication difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
- Provide training and support to families and caregivers
- Document progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Assess and provide therapy to introduce AAC systems
- Work with individuals using a sensory impairment model approach
- Contribute to the development of services and therapy options for our clients
Requirements
- Must have a degree qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC
- Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to participate in training
- Dysphagia competencies (not essential)
- AAC experience both high and low tech
