The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

The role involves undertaking routine laboratory procedures in support of scientific staff. This includes:

  • Maintenance of equipment and facilities to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance levels.
  • Ordering, receipt and booking-in of laboratory consumables and reagents.
  • Management of stock levels.
  • Equipment checks.
  • Supporting the receipt of shipments and booking in of test samples.
  • Laboratory cleaning in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

This post is primarily in the in-vitro Biosafety department but assistance may occasionally be required by other departments.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have:

  • Good interpersonal and communications skills and effective organisational abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • An ability to prioritise tasks as requested, provide accurate verbal updates and make accurate, legible written records and data entries.
  • An ability to work accurately to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

In addition, ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience of working in a laboratory.
  • Previous experience of working in a quality-oriented environment.
