Why join East Haugh House?
Monogram Collective is delighted to be launching East Haugh House, an exciting new hospitality concept in the heart of Highland Perthshire. Offering just twelve beautifully appointed guest bedrooms, East Haugh House combines the charm and intimacy of a private country home with the standards of exceptional hospitality.
Guests aren't simply checking into a hotel; they're becoming part of the house. With all-inclusive dining, drinks, wellness experiences, and a relaxed "help yourself" philosophy, East Haugh House delivers a warmer, more personal alternative to traditional hospitality.
This is a rare opportunity to join the founding team and help establish a destination that guests will remember not just for where they stayed, but for how they felt.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will be at the heart of the East Haugh House experience, shaping not only the food offering but also the atmosphere and warmth that makes guests feel truly at home.
This is not a traditional restaurant chef role. There is no à la carte menu, no large brigade and no pressure to create complex tasting menus. Instead, you'll be cooking for a small house of guests, delivering generous, seasonal food that feels thoughtful, comforting and memorable. The focus is on exceptional ingredients, relaxed dining and the kind of food you'd hope to enjoy when staying with friends in a beautiful Highland home.
East Haugh House is run by a small, close-knit team, and the Head Chef will work hand-in-hand with the House Manager to create a seamless guest experience. Together, you'll be the faces of the house, building relationships with guests and creating a welcoming environment where hospitality feels personal, natural and genuine.
There is no separate restaurant operation and no large back-of-house team. You'll need to be hands-on, organised and comfortable turning your hand to everything from preparing breakfast and baking homemade treats for the pantry to creating beautiful evening dinners and managing supplier relationships.
With genuine ownership of the kitchen, you'll have the freedom to develop seasonal menus, champion local Scottish produce and create the food identity of East Haugh House from the very beginning.
You will:
- Create and deliver seasonal breakfast and dinner menus for house guests.
- Prepare generous, ingredient-led dishes showcasing the best of Scottish produce.
- Bake and prepare homemade cakes, biscuits and treats for the guest pantry.
- Cater thoughtfully for dietary requirements and allergies.
- Manage food purchasing, supplier relationships and stock control.
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene and kitchen standards.
- Work closely with the House Manager to create a memorable and personalised guest experience.
- Welcome interaction with guests and become a familiar, friendly face within the house.
- Help shape the culture, standards and food philosophy of a brand-new hospitality destination.
