We are looking for a dedicated, personable, and highly organised People & Culture Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle across our Scottish properties of Pine Trees Hotel in Pitlochry and Meldrum House Hotel in Aberdeenshire.

Your Role at a Glance

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will ensure our people practices at our Pine Trees Hotel & Meldrum House Hotel reflect the high standards, professionalism, and service ethos of our brand.

This role offers exposure to all areas of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, systems, training, and the opportunity to contribute to exciting new initiatives and projects.

This role requires travelling to both Meldrum House Hotel and Pine Trees hotel.

You may occasionally be required to travel to other hotels within the Monogram Collective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line HR support and guidance to managers and employees on policies, performance, conduct, and wellbeing.
  • Lead or support investigations and employee relations cases.
  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and contract generation, whilst ensuring legal compliance across all stages of employment.
  • Provide guidance on maternity, paternity, and flexible working and oversee leave entitlements and benefits.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment, including job posting, shortlisting, interviews, talent selection and conducting the offer process and induction.
  • Coordinate appraisals and development planning, therefore contributing to succession planning and training needs analysis.
  • Support employee engagement through initiatives, surveys, and recognition programs.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with luxury service standards, whilst supporting wellbeing, inclusion, and internal communication initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and data across HR systems.
  • Assist with workforce planning, reporting, and rostering insights.

About You

This is a varied and fast-paced role that would suit someone who thrives on building strong relationships, excels in employee relations, and is confident advising managers and team members.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Recent HR generalist experience post-qualification
  • Proven experience handling employee relations cases, including investigations and hearings.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or luxury service environments.
