Here at The Mole, we operate a fantastic resort set in acres of beautiful Devon countryside, jam-packed with delicious food and drink and a whole lot of exciting activities. We are searching for ambitious, talented chefs to join our kitchen brigade and deliver fantastic food in a variety of locations around the resort from Mole Delivery to weddings and banqueting, not forgetting our beautiful Cellars Restaurant.

What will I be doing?

As a Chef de Partie at The Mole, you will perform tasks and follow instructions given to you by the Head or Senior Chef. You are responsible for maintaining your kitchen station and equipment throughout your shift whilst showing willingness to progress and deliver customer satisfaction through the dishes you prepare. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prep for and deliver menu items to correct specification.
  • Ensure the completion of requisitions and maintain stock correctly.
  • Ensure deliveries are stored in the correct locations whilst in a timely manner.
  • Maintain kitchen area and equipment, ensuring your station and utensils are in a hygienic condition at all times.
  • Be prepared to prepare and envision varying menus, inputting ideas where possible.
  • Deliver a speedy service whilst ensuring the quality and presentation of food.
  • Consider portion control to minimise waste whilst preparing dishes.
  • Understand and comply with Health and Safety legislation including Food Safety, fire precautions, legal requirements, and perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time.
  • Establish relationships with attending kitchen staff and other members of staff through the resort assisting in the delivery of service to our guests.
