The Mix is a global market research agency for people who want to create something they’ve never seen before. Since 2012, The Mix has been combining the best of quantitative, qualitative, strategy, and creative to create market research campaigns that answer what, why, how, and who in equal measure. We work a 4-day week - that is right, we don’t work Fridays! Based in London and New York, but operating globally, the team is a bunch of diverse, committed, enthusiastic, and hardworking people. Together, we work with some of the world’s biggest brands including Diageo, Nike, Just Eat and LEGO. This position is based in London.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering compelling and commercially relevant strategies based on insight gathered from primary research which is designed, conducted and analysed by you and the team at The Mix.
- Leading global projects while supporting more junior team members on multiple projects at various stages.
- Moderating/facilitating confidently in all situations (digital ethnography, in-depths, consumer workshops, client workshops digitally and face-to-face).
- Turning analysis docs & quant tables into compelling strategic narratives.
- Extracting information from data tables and how this contributes to strategy and decision-making.
- Working in partnership with the Project Manager to deliver the work within budget, acting resourcefully when required.
- Utilising and delegating appropriately to more junior team members to maximise your time while providing useful experience to them.
- Seeking out new marketing strategies and bringing these to the attention of the agency.
- Contributing towards thought leadership – writing blogs / preparing presentations on behalf of The Mix.
- Being alert to commercial sensitivities and exploring better working practices.
- At the proposal stage, developing a response to a client brief and presenting a compelling pitch strategy and agency credits to prospective clients.
- Articulating compelling strategic / research plans for the agency within the context of the industry and client dynamics.
- Proactively identifying and leading internal projects (content / internal business development) and giving them momentum within the agency.
- Being commercially sensitive of clients, with a good understanding of how decisions are made in different kinds of corporations.
- Team leadership & line management, understanding strengths and areas for development of the different team members to successfully manage, mentor and develop them.
- Organising people and resources toward the effective and efficient pursuit of objectives, getting the best out of resources available.
- Driven to help the agency beyond project work with thought leadership and new business pitches.
If this sounds exciting and fitting, we’d love to hear from you!
