We are looking for an awesome Junior Sous Chef to join our Kitchen team at The Mitre, Hampton Court. Our 40-bedroom hotel has been transformed into glamorous restaurants, cocktail bars, enchanting river terraces, an orangery, an all-day café, and even a quirky library for the most curious. You will:
- Lead our kitchen team, in absence of the Head Chef.
- Ensure that all chefs are briefed ahead of service and are familiar with day to day expectations and requirements.
- Ensure that the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality and quantity.
- Ensure that timetables, leave rosters and attendance registers are up-to-date.
- Ensure that all statutory, as well as company, hygiene regulations are being strictly adhered to and maintain records and logs.
- Monitor and maintain a strong understanding of health & safety compliance standards, so the team adhere to current legislation.
- Maintain open communication with the front of house team, ensuring the whole F&B operation runs as smoothly as possible.
- Ensure that each dish leaving the kitchen is checked for quality, quantity, presentation and correct temperature.
- Engage with relevant training and development for your role for further advancement.
