Are you:
- Passionate about working with young people and the importance of education?

- Someone with good communication, interpersonal and IT skills?
Our values at The Misbourne for both students and staff are learning, kindness and excellence; these permeate everything we do, but start with our staff. If you join our staff team, you will be part of a caring, kind and supportive group of professionals who really do share a sense of belonging and camaraderie. We actively look at ways to give staff time back, whether this be with our two week October half term, a flexible PPA which you can take at home every fortnight, or flexible use of gained time in the summer term.
As a member of our Misbourne English team - which consistently achieves great progress and results at KS4 and 5 - you will benefit from:
- A fully planned and resourced centralised curriculum across all subjects, meaning we do not expect teachers to go home and do individual planning
- Regular calendared development time to collaboratively plan and talk about teaching, develop professionally and reduce workload
- A school with high regard and value placed on its staffing body
- A strong English department with a curriculum which develops engaged and well-behaved students to be creative, articulate, imaginative learners, confident and secure in their opinions and thoughts.
We are looking for someone who could play a part in helping us achieve our vision of learning, kindness and excellence for every student. We would love to work with you if you are hungry to grow and learn and have a keen interest in becoming the best teacher you can be, by building effective relationships and instilling in students the same love of English that you yourself will have.
The Misbourne is an aspirational and friendly place to work where every student and member of staff is a valued member of our community. Whether you are starting out in your career or looking for your next challenge, our English department has a breadth and depth of experience, with colleagues who thrive in a hard-working and innovative team built over many years. With strong and consistent leadership you can be assured of a genuine commitment to supporting your day-to-day practice and long-term professional development. We are looking for potential - to develop you into the teacher or middle leader you want to be.
