The Milner York , we're looking for a passionate and reliable

Breakfast Chef to join our talented Kitchen Brigade.

Located next to York Railway Station, our iconic hotel welcomes guests from around the world, and breakfast is often the first impression they have of their stay.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and outstanding service every morning.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Ensuring breakfast service runs smoothly, efficiently and on time.
  • Preparing fresh ingredients and maintaining excellent food presentation.
  • Working closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety.
  • Assisting with stock rotation, ordering and minimising food waste.
  • Supporting the kitchen team with preparation for later services when required.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or Commis Chef looking to take the next step.
  • A passion for fresh food and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and bank holidays.
