We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided to help you succeed in this dynamic position.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and engaging with customers in a friendly manner.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and manage basic maths calculations for change and sales records.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
  • Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods while maintaining high standards of service.

Requirements

  • Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards to ensure hygiene practices are followed at all times.
  • Experience in serving customers in a fast‑paced environment with excellent communication skills.
  • Basic food preparation skills to assist with minor food items when required.
  • Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy hours.
  • Ability to perform basic maths accurately for transactions and stock management.
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences are essential for success in this role.
