We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation in accordance with established standards.
- Develop and implement creative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste and optimise resources.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote professional development and teamwork.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor kitchen operations for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies across all kitchen activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a diverse culinary team effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations (HACCP certification is desirable).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team management, motivation, and training.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
