M&E Assistant - Food and Bar Service- Casual Fixed Term

We are recruiting to join our Meeting and Events team working on functions serving food or working behind the bar. This is a casual role, fixed term till end of December 2025 for our busy Christmas period.

As a Meetings and Events (M&E) Assistant you’ll be a face of the hotel, so we want you to bring your warm and friendly personality to work with you every day. Take a deep breath because you’ll be stepping into a busy role! This is a hands-on position within the M&E department working on functions serving food and drinks to the high Leonardo standard. You’ll work as part of a vibrant team to ensure all guests have a first-class experience with us.

Responsibilities

As an M&E Assistant you will:

• Be a welcoming presence for guests and event organisers
• Assist with serving food and drinks during functions
• Support the M&E team to meet the department’s KPIs
• Be self-motivated and able to work both collaboratively and independently as needed
• Play a key role in delivering high standards during large events

Requirements / Ideal Candidate

If you’re our ideal M&E Porter, you will:

• Be yourself
• Think on your feet to meet clients’ needs – a can-do attitude is essential
• Have great communication skills: greet organisers, ensure guests’ needs are met and collaborate with others
• Be self-motivated and comfortable working alone at times
• Work well in a team during large events
