The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
An opportunity has arisen within MY Therapy service due to maternity leave cover to recruit an experienced and motivated full time Band 5 Physiotherapist. The successful candidate will work with colleagues, partners, patients and their families/carers in providing rehabilitation in the community, thereby preventing unnecessary admissions to hospital / residential settings whilst also facilitating discharges home. MY Therapy also provide therapy to the Wakefield Intermediate Care Unit and Dovecote Lodge providing rehabilitation to patients prior to discharge into the community. MY therapy also cover a range of specialist services including neuro, cardiac and respiratory and Long COVID services.
MY Therapy service is a large MDT incorporating Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and support staff. The team will provide an opportunity to be involved in the integration of services to see the delivery of health and social services to Wakefield residents in line with providing care closer to home.
The Community was rated as Good when last inspected by the CQC and the successful candidate will instil the Trusts values and behaviours in ensuring quality services continue to be delivered and to strive for further improvement.

Main duties of the job
To independently and effectively self manage a defined caseload within the Community Rehabilitation team using evidence based, client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
To be responsible for the day to day supervision of junior staff and/or students within the Community Rehabilitation team, designated by the Head Therapist/team leader.
To contribute to the clinical and professional development of the Physiotherapy service within the Community Rehabilitation team
To be flexible in your approach and use of treatment media in order to work across various locations and settings as determined by the needs of the team.
