Overview

Here at the Mick George Group we are currently recruiting a Recycling Logistics Manager to join the Recycling team.

Location: Mick George Head Office – Huntingdon

Working Hours: Monday – Friday between 6am & 6pm, Saturdays are as required

Pay: To be discussed

Role Purpose

To manage and optimize the collection, transportation, and processing of recyclable materials, ensuring efficient logistics operations in line with environmental regulations, cost-efficiency, and sustainability targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end logistics for the recycling transactions (skips, ro-ros, aggregate bags)
  • Oversee planning and optimize routes and schedules to ensure timely collection and delivery
  • Coordinate with waste collection teams, recycling centres and third-party haulers
  • Monitor and analyse logistics performance using KPIs; recommend and implement improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental and transport regulations
  • Supervise and train logistics staff; ensure a safe working environment
