Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead the delivery of the South East Aylesbury Link Road (SEALR) – a high-profile infrastructure scheme forming part of a wider strategic transport network in Buckinghamshire.
This is a key leadership role requiring a hands-on Project manager with a strong background in Earthworks and a proven track record delivering highways, civils or infrastructure projects under NEC contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely delivery of all works
  • Manage the import of materials to construct the Embankment, including all associated testing, compliance, and materials management
  • Drive programme performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to avoid delays
  • Administer the NEC Option B contract, including Early Warnings, Compensation Events, and robust change control procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, designers, statutory authorities, and internal teams
  • Take ownership of quality assurance, ensuring compliance with specifications, ITPs, and audit requirements
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead and implement regular HSEQ inspections and RAMS reviews
  • Oversee performance, plant coordination, and site logistics
  • Provide accurate reporting, contribute to cost forecasting and commercial closeout processes
  • Produce clear, professional presentations to communicate project progress, materials management plans, lookahead plans, and sequencing to internal and external stakeholders

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing major highways or infrastructure schemes (Β£10m+)
  • Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, materials, and road construction
  • Proficient in NEC contract management, particularly Option B
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Confident in preparing and delivering project updates through presentations, visual aids, and progress reports
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Competent in project controls, reporting, and risk management
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White Card), and First Aid at Work certifications
