Here at the Mick George Group we are looking for a Remediation Site Manager to join the team at our Head Office in Huntingdon.
Job Overview: To support the business in achieving its aims and objectives through the delivery of remediation/environmental projects.
Responsibilities:
- Organise remediation works to ensure that it is undertaken in compliance with relevant Legislation/Regulations, MGE Policies and Procedures and to the required health and safety standards.
- Undertake site visits as required to deal with enquiries received by MGE in line with MGE Policy and Procedures, compiling all relevant paperwork.
- Produce accurate quotations and submit for review and issue to client as per Policy Requirements.
- Compile accurate costings and programme for all site works.
- Produce suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments/Method Statements in compliance with industry best practice and Regulations.
- Plan all labour, plant and materials to ensure safe working practices and liaise with Office Manager to ensure these are allocated and ordered.
- Manage all site works in liaison with MGE site team and Client to ensure all works proceed to programme and budget and to Clients satisfaction.
- Complete Site Audits and Site Visit Forms to assist in achieving MGE targets.
- Attend Weekly Operations, Monthly Managers and 6 weekly Supervisor meetings.
- Participate in wider objectives of the Company.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Demonstrable successful experience of working in a similar role.
- Committed to providing first rate customer service.
- Knowledge of relevant Environmental legislation including Health and Safety.
- IT Literate – Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook and the use of remote meeting tools e.g. Skype.
- Effective communicator, influencer & relationship builder.
- The written communication skills to produce quotes and suitable and sufficient Remediation Method Statements and associated reports.
- Commercial awareness to manage financial implications of projects and improve margin.
- Honest & reliable.
- Ability to prioritise work and manage own diary – amidst challenging demands on time.
- Ability to balance operational needs with best practice.
- Full Driving Licence.
- Experience in a remediation contracting environment.
