This is a 13‑month fixed‑term, full‑time vacancy that will close on 21 August 2026. The role is for Youth President 2027‑2028, with a contract from 1 August 2027 to 31 August 2028. Salary is £27,460 non‑London or £31,799 London per annum.
Responsibilities:
- Enable, encourage and enthuse children and young people to get involved in every aspect of Church life.
- Represent and host 3Generate, the Children and Youth Assembly of the Methodist Church.
- Listen to the voices of children and young people from across the Church in Britain and advocate for them in church life at every level – this may involve extensive independent travel, and evening and weekend travel.
- Influence decision‑making in the Church by sharing the opinions and priorities of children and young people.
Qualifications:
- Aged between 18 and 23 and a Member of the Methodist Church by 1 August 2027.
- Available to attend 3Generate at the NEC in Birmingham from 2 – 4 October 2026 for the election process.
- Strong public speaking, debating, team and independent working, report writing, listening and facilitation skills.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references are required for the election process.
