Agincare is offering bank registered nurse shifts at its Henlow Court care home, filled as and when required. The nurse leads a care team, runs personal care to individual care plans, and handles medication, nutrition and hydration monitoring. The post suits both experienced nurses and newly qualified ones moving into residential care. Fit depends on an NMC registration without restrictions and at least 12 months' right to work, as visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Motivate, mentor and develop a team of care staff to meet residents' clinical needs
- Assist residents with personal care in line with individual care plans
- Administer and record medication safely in line with company policy
- Monitor resident nutrition and hydration and update nutrition plans when dietary needs change
- Monitor residents for pressure wound risks and abnormal toilet output
- Liaise with care home management, families, social workers, medical professionals and residents on care provision
- Make recommendations when residents' care needs change
- Participate in and promote resident activities
- Provide professional, safe, high-quality care and support
Qualifications
- Evidence of recent clinical CPD
Registration & licences
- Valid NMC PIN without restrictions to practice
Checks & eligibility
- Right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months
