Essex Cares' reablement service is recruiting community care assistants to help customers regain independence and keep living in their own homes. The work centres on helping clients relearn everyday skills such as personal care, mobility and preparing meals. The role is evening and weekend based, with shifts from 3pm to 11pm and day weekend shifts, and needs your own car and full driving licence for travel between visits. No previous experience is needed as full training and a mentor are provided; visa sponsorship is not available for direct applications.
What the job involves
- Helping customers relearn skills such as personal care, mobility and meal preparation
- Supporting customers to regain independence and continue living at home
- Travelling between customers in your own vehicle across the local area
