The work is keeping cleaning and laundry to hotel-style standards under the home's housekeeping procedures, carrying out cleaning to worksheet instructions. Residents' dignity and personal space are central, and the role calls for flexibility to cover varied tasks at short notice. A DBS check and proof of right to work are required, with the DBS cost met by Avery.
What the job involves
- Carry out all cleaning duties to worksheet instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and laundry standards throughout the home
- Work to the standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry
- Maintain hotel-style service standards
- Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces, coverings and cleaning materials
- Keep all areas well presented and in good condition
- Treat residents with dignity and respect, including their personal space and belongings
- Work as part of a team
What’s required
Experience
- Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting
Skills & knowledge
- Knowledge of health and safety, including moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH assessments
- Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice
