Housekeeping Assistant post at Acer House Care Home, one of over 100 homes run by Avery Healthcare Group, a luxury elderly care provider. The work centres on keeping the home clean and its laundry service running to standard, following housekeeping and laundry procedures and worksheets while respecting residents' dignity and belongings. The role runs 08.00 to 16:00 shifts with alternate weekends. Candidates need a DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK.
What the job involves
- Maintain cleanliness and laundry standards throughout the home
- Work as part of a team to keep hotel service standards in the home
- Operate to the standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry
- Carry out cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions
- Apply knowledge of surfaces, coverings and cleaning materials so areas are well presented and in good condition
- Treat residents with dignity and respect, including their personal space and belongings
Experience
- Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting
Skills & knowledge
- Knowledge of health and safety, particularly moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH assessments
Checks & eligibility
- DBS disclosure check
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
