This is a four-month consultant post in the community-based dermatology team at HealthHarmonie, a provider of consultant-led outpatient services working with NHS partners. The work centres on assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions, from eczema and psoriasis to benign or malignant lesions, alongside minor surgical procedures. The service aims to bring specialist care closer to patients' homes and shorten waits, and the post also carries teaching and audit duties. Candidates need GMC registration with specialist dermatology accreditation to be considered.
What the job involves
- Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with conditions such as chronic eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, skin infections and skin lesions
- Carrying out minor surgical procedures such as excisions, biopsies, cryotherapy and intralesional injections
- Conducting clinical consultations and developing treatment plans
- Performing diagnostic procedures including dermoscopy and skin biopsies
- Managing minor surgical interventions for skin lesions
- Ensuring compliance with clinical governance, CQC standards and NHS interface guidance
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred care
- Taking part in audits, teaching and service development
Qualifications
- Completed specialist training in dermatology at consultant level or equivalent
Registration & licences
- GMC registration with specialist dermatology accreditation
Skills & knowledge
- Strong diagnostic and procedural skills in dermatology and minor surgery
- Excellent communication and teamwork

- DBS clearance

- Previous experience in outpatient or community dermatology services
