Internal Auditor in West Malling

Cygnet Health Care is seeking an entry-level Internal Auditor for its Head Office Finance team, sitting within the Operations Internal Audit team. The post tests accounting systems and procedures, both at facilities across the UK and within head office finance audits covering petty cash and service user money. The role is hybrid, with two days in the office and three at home, and training is provided. A car and UK driving licence are essential because of travel between sites.

What the job involves

• Travel to Cygnet sites across the UK to carry out facility-specific audits
• Assist with Head Office finance audits covering petty cash, service user money, purchase ledger and expenses
• Analyse and evaluate the accuracy of accounting systems and procedures
• Review and develop internal audit controls, recommending changes with the Senior Internal Auditor
• Prepare audit paperwork
• Build working relationships with the senior management team
• Prepare and annotate benchmarking reports
• Complete internal audit templates across all UK sites
• Complete task requests from the Internal Audit Director of UHS
• Carry out ad hoc duties set by the Group Internal Audit Assistant Manager
