PE Cover Teacher post at Briscoe Primary School & Nursery, one of six schools in HEARTS Academy Trust. The work centres on PPA cover, planning and delivering inclusive PE lessons, and monitoring standards across the school, plus running before and after school clubs and sporting events. Trust-wide PE subject leadership sits alongside a four-day, face-to-face teaching week on an 80/20 model. Visa sponsorship is not available and the post starts as soon as possible.
What the job involves
- PE subject leadership across the Trust
- Planning, developing and delivering inclusive, engaging PE lessons across the school
- Providing PPA cover
- Developing the PE curriculum
- Monitoring standards in PE
- Promoting pupil participation in sport
- Delivering and developing extra-curricular sports provision, including before and after school clubs
- Organising school and Trust-level sporting events
- Maintaining partnerships linked to sports provision
