Essex Cares (ECL) is recruiting Care Assistants into its reablement service, helping people regain skills at home. Care Assistants support customers to relearn personal care, mobility and meal preparation so they can keep living independently. The role is community-based, involves travel around the local area, and offers contracts of 16 to 30 hours on early and late shifts, with every other weekend worked. Applicants who need visa sponsorship cannot apply directly.
What the job involves
- Help customers relearn everyday skills such as personal care, mobility and preparing meals
- Support customers to regain their independence and continue living in their own home
- Travel between customers around Basildon and the surrounding area
- Work alongside a mentor after induction until confident in the role
