The Trust Estates Lead is a newly created post at Bedford Inclusive Learning and Training Trust, a SEND multi academy trust running five sites. The role oversees maintenance, operation and development of premises and physical assets, with statutory compliance and site agents central. The post is distinct for shaping estates systems and standards across the Trust, with attendance at some Trust Board and governor meetings outside school hours. Visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Oversee maintenance, operation and development of the Trust's schools, premises and physical assets
- Ensure environments remain safe, compliant, efficient and cost-effective
- Lead estates operations across all sites
- Manage site agents
- Ensure statutory compliance through robust systems, procedures and effective monitoring
- Help establish and develop estates systems, processes and standards for the current estate and future growth
- Influence the strategic direction of estates management across the Trust
- Take part in whole-school and community activities such as open days and events
- Attend Trust Board and Local Governor meetings as required, some outside normal school hours

- Previous experience in an estates, facilities or property management role
