A fixed-term Teaching Assistant post at Reydon Primary School, part of the Active Learning Trust, running to 31 December 2027. The work centres on supporting pupils' learning in small groups and individually under teachers' direction, adapting planned activities and tracking progress, alongside personal, social and emotional support for pupils with additional needs. The role is mornings only, 15 hours a week across 38 weeks a year. Visa sponsorship is not available, and the school wants a start as soon as possible.
What the job involves
- Support teaching and learning for individuals and small groups under the direction of teaching staff
- Adapt and deliver planned learning activities that promote inclusion, independence and engagement
- Help monitor, assess and record pupil progress, giving feedback to teachers and pupils
- Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development, including those with additional or complex needs
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues and help keep the learning environment safe and supportive
