This fixed-term maternity cover post teaches music at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form, running from January to August 2027. The teacher covers Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, including GCSE, the NCFE Technical Award in Music Technology and a new Music Technology A Level. The department of three teachers holds Music Mark and ISM Bronze status and runs a busy extra-curricular and whole-school production programme. Visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Teach music across all ability ranges from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5
- Teach GCSE music using the Eduqas specification
- Deliver the NCFE Technical Award in Music Technology at Key Stage 4
- Teach the new Music Technology A Level
- Support the extra-curricular programme, including the orchestra, brass and jazz ensembles and Music Technology sessions
- Contribute to annual concerts and performances
- Work with the Drama department on the annual whole-school productions
