This is a term-time site maintenance post at Yeo Valley Primary School, covering the upkeep, repair and security of the premises. The work centres on opening and securing the site each day, routine inspections and minor repairs, grounds maintenance including grass cutting, and snow clearance. Hours are early mornings, Monday to Friday from 7am to 10am, across 38 weeks a year. A full enhanced DBS check is required and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Opening and securing the school site each day
- Carrying out routine site inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Undertaking general repairs and minor improvement works around the school
- Maintaining the school grounds, including grass cutting and other seasonal duties
- Taking and recording meter readings
- Shovelling snow and gritting paths and car parks where required
- Supporting contractors and visitors working on site where required
- Ensuring the school premises remain clean, safe and compliant with health and safety requirements
